Newt Gingrich for President In 2012?

Is he insane?

More here: Gingrich will consider presidential bid

The Capitolist: Newt Gingrich Says He May Run for President in 2012

He has currently been marshaling for a Leftinistra REPUBLICAN in NY23 and got caught with his retarded knickers down and now he wants to run for President?

Newt Gingrich, the former House Speaker and perennial big thinker in the Republican party, said this morning that he will likely run for president in 2012 if he and his wife, Callista, assess the field of candidates in 2011 and feel "a requirement as citizens that we run." His comments came during an interview on C-SPAN's Washington Journal this morning. The full exchange and video are below. [...]

OH.  MY.  GOD.  "A perennial big thinker in the Republican party"?  OH.  MY GOD.  PERENNIAL?  FOREVER?  A LONG TIME?  Please.  Go away Newt.  Please, go away.

I get it.  That is one of those WTFO minutes.  RIGHT?

I believe Newt is just a victim of the Beltway mentality and still doesn't understand what is going on outside Washington. If it were the case he would have endorsed Hoffman and backed Palin in her endorsement. He's always the "smartest guy in the room" when it comes to politics in general but I don't think he gets what is actually going on yet. Give him a little time, he'll get it. As soon as he recognizes that a lot of us view Sarah Palin and Michele Bachman as our leaders, even Mitt Romney, then he might get the picture. We want conviction and courage. We want unabashed patriotism in our candidates.

I do think that Newt is toast and so are the rest of the cronies that drool over each other in DC.
